Splitting Tens: 11:59 Cinema : Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince

watched it..I'm slightly disappointed though..the acting, the costumes, the music are all great.. the storyline are great too but I think it would be better if they explained more about the half-blood prince. Then I think they should have elaborated Dumbledore's death part. At least held a funeral or anything because it seems to me like Dumbledore is minor part in the movie and he's totally not. But I do know it's hard to put everything from the book into a movie. I don't know because I did not read the book so basically it's just my opinion. Over all it's okay because I had fun laughing, feeling sad+scared in the cinema.

Yes t was the best of the acting , costumes, and story-telling for sure.. I was a bit more disappointed about the lack of explanation about the HBP.. but i think they are suspending those ideas from the story in order to tell a more detailed.. tale.. as in .. more in the second movie. Dumbledore's Death scene.. was good... but teh ending of it was strange for sure. I dunno.. I have never been fully happy with an HP film. Fun to watch though.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film as well. As an actual HP Book Series reader, it is the book some justice finally. Not since the first film has it been somewhat accurate. Yes they could have included the funeral and all that but if in the book it was super long, I can only imagine how much longer the film would have been. Also, Hadrid at this time was missing most times because he was off recruiting Giant Folk, in the book. Meh, merely sidelines anyway, lol. And of course, you know I cried when Dumbledore died, just as I did when I read it the first time around. Heartbroken, and just a bit sadder, I can't wait till the last and final film, which is going to be released in two parts *sigh*

I went to the midnite showing on Tuesday night! We had to get there at 10pm in order to get good seats. I should've waited to see it at a normal time because I kept dozing in and out during the movie :( It had nothing to do with the movie but more the fact that I'm burning my candle at both ends and am exhausted. From what I did see, it was awesome. This book had so many details and was definitely setting up the stage for the grand finale. I had no doubts that it would be the highest grossing movie of all time...until the next movie comes out :)

Yea they really suspended this one, due to the writer's strike and whatnot last year.. but it may have worked in the end. It is nice to see all that snow in a film.. in the middle of Summer! Haha.. my buddy that I went to see the flick with also crashed out a couple of times.. for similar reasons to yours.. but he also can't sit still if things aren't exploding on screen!

Good to know that Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince is good. I'll wait for it to come out on dvd tho. I haven't seen all of the Harry Potter movies but Ive seen maybe too..I know for sure I saw Harry Potter and the Prince of Azkaban, I enjoyed that one too. How many do they have in the series anyway.

I had read the books so I had much more expectations from the movie. So I did not like it that much....It is o.k. I agree with you about the end though. I had known what is going to happen but still I felt that it ended strangely!!

If I remember correctly, the book didn't payoff well with Dumbledore's death either. I remember being disappointed by that. BUT, you understand more in the next book, thus hopefully the next movie!

I haven't seen this movie yet, maybe this weekend. Can't wait! I've heard several say it's their favorite so far. They've all done her books justice, so hopefully this one does too.

I loved this movie. In fact I can say it is my favorite of all the films. Finally I felt like the director captured the world of Harry Potter on screen so completely. I am excited that this director is doing the last two films as well so I have those to look forward to. I also did not like the ending but because it differed from the book by omitting something I was looking forward to. You have got to read the books because they are simply brilliant, but wait until after seeing all the movies. Actually you could read the first six and wait to read Deathly Hallows until after the last two films.
